Youth Ballet is unique. It is the only English
ballet company that
goes out into the regions of the UK to stage 8 full scale classical ballets
per year, fronted by 6 international professional dancers in the principal
roles and involving 100 different young ballet students from the surrounding
area.

Bridget Hearne, Marketing Manager, is keen to make sure that all young
dancers between 8 - 18 years are aware of any forthcoming auditions in their
area so every outlet is covered in the area of marketing and publicity so a
full and competitive audition can be held.
The 100 successful local young dance students chosen from the audition are
justifiably proud of their achievement, so newspapers are approached who
readily grab a local news story much to the delight of parents and ballet
teachers.
During the rehearsal period it then becomes important that all the hard work
being put in by students, choreographers and professional dancers is
appreciated with full houses in the theatre. A detailed marketing strategy
over a couple of months and previously discussed with the relevant
department at the theatre enables the public to become aware of the superbly
professional performances about to take place.

English Youth Ballet which is built upon not only the 100 talented young
local dancers but principal international dancers, professional set and
costume designers and superb lighting creates a traditional and full scale
classical ballet at competitive ticket prices that enables EYB to compare
most favourably with other touring companies.
A recent policy by English Youth Ballet that has been particularly well
received is to offer reduced price seats to local primary and secondary
schools to attend the Dress rehearsals. The Theatre Managers too are
delighted as EYB introduces a new future audience to their theatre.
