Ann Wall

Ann Wall trained with Richard Slaughter in the Cecchetti method, The Royal Ballet School Associate Programme and for 3 years at English National Ballet School. Ann had the opportunity to perform in the ENB My First Ballet Series: Swan Lake at The Peacock Theatre London and on tour, performing the roles of Big Swans and The Queen. Whilst at school, she also danced at The Royal Opera House in A Spring Celebration gala, performed a soloist role in the ballet Raymonda at The New Wimbledon Theatre and appeared in Le Corsaire with English National Ballet.

Ann has danced professionally with Ballet Cymru where she performed at The Sadler’s Wells Theatre and The Wales Millennium Centre Cardiff alongside The National Orchestra of Wales. She danced the roles of Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet and Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and also taught on the company’s associate programme and school workshops.

Ann is also part of North Wales based community company ‘The Ballet Pod’, founded under the directorship of Richard Slaughter. The company formed an initiative to bring ballet to unlikely places. She has performed in care homes, bookshops, play groups, libraries and schools as well as theatres, both in the local communities of North Wales as well as further afield across the UK. She has performed at many festivals including The Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in 2018.

She also danced in The Nutcracker in 2019 with Brecon Festival Ballet.

Ann holds a First class BA Hons Degree in Professional Practice in Arts (Dance) from Middlesex University and has taught at five different schools across London, including Inspire Ballet and Dance, London, Acton Ballet School and Vacani School of Dance.
