Since graduating from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School Sebastian has worked with companies as varied as the West End production of Les Misérables and the Royal Shakespeare Company as well as touring all over Britain. With over sixty original lighting designs to his credit, Sebastian has worked regularly with the award winning English Youth Ballet also designing sets for The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle and The Nutcracker. He has also designed the lighting for several productions with Middle Ground Theatre including the first ever stage production of Tunes of Glory which received rave reviews in the national press.
Sebastian worked as Technical Manager at the Brewhouse Theatre for over 10 years and was involved in the annual Brewhouse theatre productions often receiving praise for his lighting in the press including The Stage. He also was director for two BYT productions – The Secret Garden and the sell-out Les Misérables. He also directed numerous other productions including a recent production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni for Somerset Opera. He ran his own company Curzon Productions, which specialised in music theatre repertoire, for 10 years. Since leaving the Brewhouse Sebastian has worked as Technical Manager of the Wycombe Swan Theatre and was recently engaged in helping co-ordinate a complete re-fit of the venue. He is currently Technical Manager of the Watford Colosseum Theatre. He has designed the sets for EYB Giselle and on the EYB production of Swan Lake. The latter of which he has received excellent notices.
